Ridgeland College Prep Academy students will complete a high school curriculum that focuses on preparing the students for enrollment in a four-year college, a two-year college, or technical college.
The academy’s mission is to help students master the tools and skills needed to be successful in a post-secondary setting after high school. This includes a focus on reading and writing skills, time management, verbal and written communication, mathematics, and preparation for college placement exams, like the ACT.
A unique feature of the Ridgeland College Prep Academy is the Sophomore Seminar. The Sophomore Seminar is a keystone of the Ridgeland College Prep Academy. The Sophomore Seminar allows students to research a topic, learn a new skill, or participate in a new activity of their choosing. In this class, students will utilize strategies that promote research skills, communication (verbal and written), collaboration, and time management.
